In North American folklore, Santa Claus is a jolly old fellow with a white beard who represents the spirit of Christmas. He wears a red suit, lives at the North Pole, and brings children presents at Christmas. He is also called Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, or Kriss Kringle.
