The House of Representatives is one of the two parts of the United States Congress. The other part is called the Senate. The House of Representatives is made up of 435 members who are elected by people in different states. The number of Representatives from each state depends on how many people live in the state.
Both parts of the Congress work to make new laws for the country, but the House of Representatives considers the new law first. If the House of Representatives thinks it's a good idea, the bill passes to the Senate. |
