Sudan Sudan is a country in Africa. Some of its neighbors are Egypt, Ethiopia, and Chad. Most of Sudan is desert, but some parts of the south have rainforests and swamps. Sudan has mostly flat lands with some mountains. Sudan is home to leopards, lions, giraffes, and elephants. In the wet areas of the country live crocodiles and lizards of many types.
