Lake Baikal

Lake Maracaibo is called a lake, but its water is salty, so it is more like a very large bay of the Caribbean Sea. Many ships travel through Lake Maracaibo and bring goods in and out of Venezuela. Goods are things that people buy or sell.

Lake Michigan is a large lake in the United States. It is one of the five very large lakes in North America called the Great Lakes. Lake Michigan touches the states of Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin. The big city of Chicago is at the south end of Lake Michigan.
Lake Ontario
Lake Ontario is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. Lake Ontario lies between the United States and Canada. Lake Ontario is the smallest of the Great Lakes, but it is still very big. Large ships come through Lake Ontario on their way to the other Great Lakes and to cities like Chicago and Detroit. Lake Ontario is also a place for sailing smaller boats, swimming, and for other water sports.

Lake Superior is a large lake that lies between the United States and Canada. Lake Superior is one of the five very large lakes in North America called the Great Lakes. Lake Superior is the largest of these lakes. Many people come to the shores of Lake Superior for camping, fishing, swimming, and to sail boats.

Lake Titicaca is a large, deep lake in South America. It lies high in the Andes mountains between the countries of Bolivia and Peru.
Lake Victoria
Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa and one of the largest lakes in the world. It is shared by three countries: Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
