fire station A fire station is a place used by people who fight fires. Some firefighters stay there at all times to be ready to put out fires. Fire trucks, ladders, and hoses are kept there too. Another name for a fire station is a fire house.
fire truck A fire truck is a fire engine. A fire engine is a large truck that firefighters ride in to go to a fire. A fire engine also carries the things firefighters need to put out fires.
