Gulf of Mexico The Gulf of Mexico is the part of the Atlantic Ocean that touches the east coast of Mexico and the south coast of the United States. The Gulf of Mexico is home to many fish, sea animals, and birds. You can find whales, sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, shrimp, and many other creatures in the Gulf of Mexico.
